With great joy and reverence, we gather to commemorate the visionary architect of our esteemed movement, Lord Robert Baden Powell, on this auspicious Founders Day. His enduring vision has propelled us through the years and continues to guide us, enabling us to provide generations with invaluable skills and opportunities that propel them towards the zenith of their potential while working together to create a better world.

Founders Day transcends a mere celebration; it is a poignant juncture to ponder the global phenomenon that is Scouting, a movement that unites over 57 million zealous young minds and dedicated volunteers across the globe, all fervently committed to the noble cause of creating a better world.

As Founders Day unfolds, let us collectively reflect on our shared journey and renew our commitment to the transformative impact we collectively wield. May this Founders Day serve as a poignant reminder of the boundless potential we hold within, the collaborative power that unites us, and the unwavering commitment to forge ahead in creating a better world for all. Below are some ways to celebrate the Founders Day 2024:

  1. Hold a National Founder’s Day celebration, celebrating the capacity of the young people and the commitment of our volunteers that has enabled you to contribute to the global family to grow and broaden the impact.
  2. Participate in a campfire, parade and procession, campaigns in your Scout troop or community. Put into conversation how people live the Scout Promise and Law, and ideals of the founder Robert Baden Powell in their everyday lives, to further stimulate conversation.
  3. Build on partnership to help widen the social impact reach of your NSOs activities or to support NSO membership. This could be a way to reach more categories of people so that the ripple effect of Scouting be continually seen through local actions and community service.
  4. Start your journey and earn your digital badges! Spread peace and promote well-being and sustainability through our many challenges. https://sdgs.scout.org/explore/activity-types
