Humanitarian Action
Scouting does not stop when disaster strikes. Whether facing conflict, natural disasters, or social inequalities, Scouts are committed to serving their communities. Guided by humanitarian principles, Scouts play a vital role in strengthening resilience and providing relief when it is needed most.
At the heart of our approach is the belief that young people are powerful drivers of change. By placing youth at the centre of humanitarian action, we enable Scouts to lead initiatives that build peace, promote social cohesion, and support community well-being.
This service helps National Scout Organizations (NSOs) integrate humanitarian action into their work across the four stages of the disaster cycle: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. We also support NSOs in delivering emergency response and Scouting programmes in humanitarian contexts, including communities affected by conflict, displacement, and natural disasters.
