The Africa Scout Jamboree is the largest regular event organized by the Africa Scout Region, gathering thousands of young people from all over Africa and the world. It is an educational event to promote education, peace and understanding. The Jamboree includes a wide variety of activities and places great importance on the everyday life and interaction on the campsite.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Event: 9th Africa Scout Jamboree
Dates: 2 – 11 August 2024 (including arrivals and departures)
Venue: Bungere National Scout Camp, Gitega, Burundi
Theme: Safe Spaces, New Experiences
Accommodation will be in tents so please bring your own camping gear.
Participants: Young people aged 12 and 17 years old as of 1 August 2024
International Service Team: Adults aged 18 years and above as of 1 August 2024
Participation Fees: International participants will pay sixty Dollars (USD 60)

The event is being organized by the Africa Scout Region and will be hosted by Association des Scouts du Burundi with support from the Government of Burundi and other local and international partners of Scouting.
CONTINGENT REGISTRATION
Registration for the 9th Africa Scout Jamboree is now OPEN! Here are 6 things your National Scout Organization needs to do:
Appoint a Head of Contingent and Contingent Staff.
Mobilize participants and International Service Team members.
Submit NSO registration for all contingent members on https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/b45ba47579cd4c95a2f9fd514349ee18. No individual registrations will be accepted.
Make payment of Jamboree participation fees for all Contingent members.
Arrange travel for your contingent including transportation, visas, camping gear etc
Take the journey to Gitega, Burundi for exciting new experiences in a safe space at the Bungere National Scout Camp.
