The XI Interamerican Scout Summit is a key strategic space where we will chart the course towards the new Regional Plan. Our starting point will be the new Strategy for Scouting for the next ten years, the World Triennial Plan 2024-2027, and the current needs of the National Scout Organizations (NSOs) in the Interamerican Region to define the strategic objectives that will guide the future of the Scout Movement.
It will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at the Recinto Quirama Hotel and Convention Center, located 30 minutes from the José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro, which serves the city of Medellín, in the Quirama Vereda of the municipality of El Carmen de Viboral, Colombia.
We look forward to seeing you at the 11th Interamerican Scout Summit, Colombia 2024!

Safe from Harm
We want to make sure that the XI Interamerican Summit to be a safe and positive experience for everyone involved. It is everyone's responsibility to act in accordance with our principles, the Safe from Harm World Policy and the Event’s Code of Conduct.
The first step to ensuring that this is a safe space is to be aware of potential risks and know how to prevent and avoid them, as well as how to react if unfortunately any unwanted situations occur.
For that reason, all participants, volunteers, staff and hosts must take the Safe from Harm course and provide the certificate as part of the registration process for the event. You can take the course at this link: SfH 1: Safe from Harm Essential Learnings.
Listening Ears Station (LE)
At the event you will find a quiet and safe space dedicated to Listening Ears, where a team of volunteers will be available to join during Summit hours for anyone who needs a conversation or to debrief a situation.
The role of the LE people is to guide and support anyone in need whether a participant faces a risk of harm or experiences discomfort at the event. The Listening Ears station provides a welcoming, safe, non-threatening and non-judgemental environment for participants to proactively seek help on behalf of themselves or others. In addition to this, as a first point of contact, they support all event participants, regardless of age or professional role, with issues of mental and emotional wellbeing.
Reporting safety concerns during the event
If you experience or witness a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable, scared or threatened during the event or you witness someone doing so, it is your duty to report it.
There are three ways you can raise concerns regarding potential Safe From Harm situations:
