GLB-C27-2024
We are pleased to provide an update for you on World Scouting’s electronic voting (e-voting) system, which will be used for the upcoming 43rd World Scout Conference.
Only Heads of Delegations will receive the voting credentials to access the e-voting system and are to liaise with their delegation on how to cast the votes on behalf of their Member Organization. World Scouting’s e-voting system will be used for the voting during the Conference to ensure that both delegations participating in-person or online can engage in the decision-making process.
Member Organizations that will not be present at the Conference and wish to exercise their right to vote can identify another Member Organization that will hold a proxy to vote on their behalf (see Circular 26/2024 for more information). Please also note Circular 28/2024, that outlines the consequences of non-payment of annual registration fees, including the potential loss of the right to vote at Conference.
All participants of the Conference are invited to understand how the voting process will work by joining the Conference pre-engagement webinar taking place at 12:00 UTC on 4 August 2024. During this session, participants will become familiar with the e-voting system and voting procedures. This session is mandatory for Heads of Delegations to facilitate smooth execution of the voting sessions of the Conference. Please click here to register for the event.
As a next step, all Heads of Delegations will be asked to activate their accounts on the e-voting system as soon as they receive the invitation. The invitations will be sent out to the registered email addresses of the Heads of Delegations by 1 August 2024.
To learn more about the e-voting system, please visit scoutconference.org/voting to access key information and helpful tutorials that will walk you through how to conduct the voting. More resources will continue to be added to the webpage as the Conference gets closer.
