Dear Friends,
Further to Circular No. AFR-C01-2026, which extended the deadline for the submission of bids to host future Regional Scout Events, and following the review and recommendations of the Africa Scout Committee on the bids received, we wish to inform you that the bidding process to host the 3rd Africa Scout Moot in 2030 has been extended.
The new deadline for the submission of complete bids is
Monday, 30 November 2026, at 23:59 hrs (GMT+3).
The extension is intended to:
- Provide NSOs that submitted incomplete bids with an opportunity to complete their submissions;
- Allow the Regional Team to undertake the required feasibility visits in line with the WOSM Events Policy and related event guidelines
To ensure fairness and equal opportunity, the bidding process is therefore reopened to all NSOs in good standing. All bids must meet the required hosting and bidding criteria by the deadline to be considered complete. This includes a feasibility study report prepared by the Regional Team following a technical/feasibility visit, with the associated costs of the visit to be borne by the bidding NSO.

To support NSOs considering hosting, the Africa Support Centre will provide guidance through a webinar on October 31, 2026. NSOs will gain an understanding of the requirements for hosting a Regional Scout event, as well as the planning and quality assurance tools available to support hosts in delivering a safe and educational event experience. They will also learn about the commitments expected from hosts and be given time to ask questions about the bidding process.
Opportunities for individual consultations with NSOs will also be made available, particularly for those wanting more clarity on hosting expectations or to understand the minimum required standards.
Please note that Monday, 30 November 2026 at 23:59 hrs (GMT+3) is the final and non-extendable deadline. Bids received after this deadline, or those that do not meet all the required conditions, will not be considered.
