World Scouting is proud to announce that Christos Hatzidiamandis has been awarded the Bronze Wolf, the highest distinction granted by the World Scout Committee for exceptional service to the Scout Movement.
Christos has dedicated more than 25 years to Scouting at local, national, regional, and global levels, beginning his Scouting journey in Greece in 1983, before holding numerous leadership positions within Soma Hellinon Proskopon (Scouts of Greece), including his current role as Deputy International Commissioner.
At the regional and world levels, Christos has played a pivotal role in advancing Scouting’s mission. He served two consecutive terms on the European Scout Committee from 2010 to 2016, including as Vice-Chairperson, during which time he spearheaded initiatives in diversity and inclusion, external relations, and strategic growth. His leadership was key to strengthening partnerships, fostering cooperation with WAGGGS, and supporting National Scout Organizations across Europe.

Beyond his tenure on the European Scout Committee, Christos has continued to make a lasting impact on Scouting globally. He has supported the development of Scouting in Albania, working closely with local leaders to facilitate their recognition as a new Member Organization. His unique diplomatic approach, combined with his expertise in organisational management and culture, was often instrumental in mediation, coaching and guidance to resolve conflicts and help strengthen ties within the European Scout Region and other regional Scouting bodies.
Christos’ professional background has enriched his ability to lead complex projects within Scouting, and his dedication to empowering young people and championing inclusive Scouting practices with a very servant and supportive leadership style approach has left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire Scouts worldwide.
World Scouting is pleased to congratulate Christos on receiving the Bronze Wolf Award for his dedication, integrity, and leadership which exemplify the spirit of Scouting and the values of service to others.
