GLB-C06-2025
Dear friends,
We are pleased to invite National Scout Organizations (NSOs) to submit a bid to host the 5th World Scout Education Congress in December 2026. This global event will convene participants worldwide to discuss topics related to education in Scouting and non-formal education as a powerful tool for youth and sustainable development.
Building on the success of past Congresses held in Hong Kong (2013), Kandersteg (2017), Rio de Janeiro (2019), and Paris (2023), the 5th edition of the World Scout Education Congress will bring together NSO leadership working on educational methods, Adults in Scouting and national Youth Programmes. The event will also convene partners and organisations across the youth, international development and education sectors.
The event programme will feature keynote speakers, plenary sessions, breakout discussions, networking opportunities, and innovative learning spaces, where participants will explore critical topics in non-formal education.
NSOs interested in hosting the 5th World Scout Education Congress are invited to submit a bid through the following form before the deadline on 31 May 2025.
Interested NSOs should carefully review the Congress hosting requirements (see annexe). World Scouting will review the proposals and plans of potential hosts, including a technical visit of proposed venues (covered by the potential host NSOs). A final decision on the host NSO for the 5th edition of the Congress will be announced in September 2025.
For more information about the requirements and the application process, or for an informal conversation on the hosting of the event, please email Raül Molina, Global Director, WOSM Events at the World Scout Bureau, at [email protected].
Yours in Scouting,
David Berg
Acting Secretary General
