GLB-C12-2026
Dear friends,
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 6th World Scout Interreligious Symposium (WSIS), an international gathering of faith representatives, religious educators, and Scout leaders from across the world under the theme “Education for Peace through Interreligious Dialogue”.
Organised by Scouts et Guides de France, co-created with the Interreligious Forum of World Scouting, the symposium will take place from 27 October to 1 November 2026 at Centre Le Mistral in Marseille, France.
The programme will feature plenaries, panel discussions, breakout groups, and workshops designed to encourage learning, exchange, and dialogue on spiritual and religious development and interreligious understanding. Through these experiences, participants will be better equipped to support the spiritual development of young people and strengthen the role of peacebuilding and dialogue within Scouting.
Participants will also have the opportunity to join cultural events and shared activities with Mediterranean Bivouac, alongside opening and closing ceremonies and moments dedicated to spiritual reflection.
The deadline to register is 15 July 2026. All participants must obtain written approval from their National Scout Organization (NSO) to attend and complete the mandatory Safe from Harm online course.
The registration fees include accommodation at the ibis Marseille Centre Gare Saint-Charles, meals, programme activities, and event materials. Participants may also choose to attend a networking day on 26 October for representatives of organisations with consultative status at the Interreligious Forum of World Scouting.

Support through sponsorships enabled a reduction in registration fees, broadening access for more participants.
As the working language of the symposium is English, NSOs are encouraged to select participants who can communicate and actively take part in English. Interpretation will be available in French.
