The Scout Movement in the Americas begins a new chapter with the official launch of the Regional Triennial Plan 2025-2028, under the theme "United in diversity, growing for impact." This document serves as the primary strategic framework guiding the Region's collective efforts to foster inclusion, collaboration, and effective implementation that respond to the current realities of our communities.
Approved by the Interamerican Scout Committee following the 29th Interamerican Scout Conference in Curaçao, the plan is fully aligned with the Strategy for Scouting and the World Triennial Plan. Its fundamental purpose is to chart the regional horizon, thereby supporting and strengthening the capacities of National Scout Organizations (NSOs), ensuring that Scouting remains the world’s most inspiring and inclusive youth movement.
Priority Areas and Key Objectives
The Triennial Plan is structured around seven strategic priorities, resulting in nine objectives focused on concrete outcomes:
- Innovating Education: Developing more flexible, attractive, and relevant Youth Programmes that leverage technology to offer transformative learning experiences.
- Strengthening Diversity and Inclusion: Facilitating access to Scouting for young people and adults from underserved communities.
- Ensuring Safety and Well-being: Strengthening measures and mechanisms to ensure Safe from Harm environments at all levels of the Movement.
- Valuing Volunteering: Increasing the recruitment and retention of volunteers to ensure the quality of our programmes.
- An Organisation Fit for Purpose: Transforming governance structures and ensuring financial sustainability through efficient resource management.
- An Influential Organisation: Developing solid strategic partnerships to increase impact.
- An Adaptable Organisation: Promoting data-driven decision-making and strengthening impact measurement capabilities. This plan represents a commitment to collaborative action to expand the transformative power of Scouting to more people across the entire Region.
