We are pleased to announce the outcomes of the election for candidates nominated to serve on the World Scout Committee for the 2024-2027 term, which was held during the 43rd World Scout Conference in Cairo, Egypt.

A total of twenty-six (26) candidates were nominated by Member Organizations from all WOSM Regions, reflecting the rich diversity of the Scout Movement. From those candidates, twelve (12) individuals (listed below in alphabetical order) were elected as Voting Members of the World Scout Committee on 20 August 2024:  

  • Victor ATIPAGAH (Ghana) 

  • Mori Chi-Kin CHENG (Hong Kong) 

  • Daniël CORSEN (Curaçao) 

  • Elise DROUET (France) 

  • Callum KAYE (United Kingdom) 

  • Steve KENT (Canada) 

  • Julius KRAMER (Sweden) 

  • Nour Elhouda MAHMOUDI (Algeria) 

  • Martin MEIER (Liechtenstein) 

  • Mohammad OMAR (MO) (Egypt) 

  • Christine “Chrissy” POLLITHY (Germany) 

  • Sahali Marie-Louise Charlotte YCOSSIE (Côte d'Ivoire) 

During the first World Scout Committee meeting on 21 August 2024, the following three (3) individuals were appointed as Steering Committee Members of the World Scout Committee for the 2024-2027 Triennium:

  • Chairperson: Daniël CORSEN (Curaçao) 

  • Vice Chairperson: Mori Chi-Kin CHENG (Hong Kong) 

  • Vice Chairperson: Julius KRAMER (Sweden) 

In accordance with the World Organization of the Scout Movement Constitution, the mandate of the newly-elected World Scout Committee has commenced at the closure of the 43rd World Scout Conference and will conclude at the closure of the 44th World Scout Conference.   

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all 26 candidates who participated in this election and to the nominating Member Organizations for their dedication and willingness to contribute to World Scouting’s governance.

The World Scouting Directory and the relevant web pages on scout.org will be updated with the relevant contact details and information of all World Scout Committee members on 24 August 2024.  

We extend our best wishes to the new World Scout Committee for a successful and impactful term ahead. May they continue to lead with excellence and contribute meaningfully to the future of the Scout Movement.
