Dear friends in Scouting,
Warm greetings from the Interamerican Scout Committee. We send our best wishes to you and your National Scout Organizations (NSOs). We continue to work together to strengthen the Scout Movement in our Region and to advance the priorities we have set for this period.
We are pleased to announce that the 12th Interamerican Scout Summit will take place in 2027. The Summit will give us another opportunity to build the future of our Region together.
The event will bring together the top leaders of NSOs to:
- review progress and indicators of the Regional Plan 2025–2028 and identify the challenges that limit results
- share good practices and experiences in governance and management
- develop guidance, commitments, and ideas to strengthen implementation
To make this event possible, we are looking for an NSO to partner with us on the organisation and logistics of the 12th Interamerican Scout Summit. This time, the host will be selected through an open application process. This gives every NSO the same opportunity to apply and ensures a more transparent process.
NSOs interested in applying should consider the following:
- The event will take place from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 June 2027.
- It will run from Friday morning until lunch on Sunday.
- Participation will be hybrid.
We invite interested NSOs to consider this opportunity and submit their application. To express your interest, please write to [email protected]. You will then receive instructions and a link to complete the application. We encourage you to do this as soon as possible, as the deadline for complete applications is Sunday 8 November 2026.
The Interamerica Support Centre of the World Scout Bureau will carry out a technical evaluation of all proposals. This will follow the criteria set for events of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Based on this evaluation, the Interamerican Scout Committee will make the final decision on the host NSO.

Hosting the Interamerican Scout Summit is a unique opportunity to showcase your organisation's work, strengthen your ties with the rest of the Region, and leave a lasting mark on the Scout Movement in Interamerica.
