Dear friends in Scouting

The Interamerican Scout Committee (2025–2028) is pleased to share the outcomes of its meeting held on 28 February. This meeting reflects our commitment to transparent management and close support for National Scout Organizations (NSOs) across the region.

Building on the work of our first meeting, the Committee focused on strengthening internal structures and advancing our strategic priorities for the triennium.

Focus of the meeting

The Committee focused on the following areas:

  • Reviewing internal operations by defining the Terms of Reference for standing committees and working groups.

  • Appointing members to the various standing committees and working groups.

  • Establishing a contact system for formal communication with NSOs.

  • Appointing strategic links to oversee the implementation of the Regional Triennial Plan, including resolutions and strategic priorities.

  • Reviewing updates on regional events, such as the recent JamCam in Colombia and the upcoming Regional Moot.

  • Analysing the financial report presented by the Regional Treasurer.

Key decisions and actions

To ensure effective work throughout the triennium, the Committee:

  • Confirmed the composition of its standing committees and the appointment of their members.

  • Established two working groups to review the Regional Constitution and regional fee structures.

  • Appointed Committee members as formal contact persons for each NSO to ensure clear communication.

  • Designated strategic links within the Committee to coordinate oversight of the Regional Triennial Plan and Conference resolutions.

  • Approved the Operational Framework for the triennium and the general guidelines for managing volunteers for regional projects.

We look forward to the upcoming Open Call for Volunteers to join our sub-structures. We cordially invite leaders from across the Interamerican Region to share their experience and commitment in a spirit of collaboration and shared service.

Siempre listo para servir,
