Dear Friends,
The Africa Scout Region and the Scouts of South Africa are pleased to announce and invite you to the 16th edition of Africa Scout Day, to be hosted by Scouts South Africa from 12–15 March 2026 at Arrowe Park Scout Camp in Johannesburg, South Africa, under the theme “Strong Roots. Bright Future.”
Participants will take part in an innovative, participatory, and experiential programme featuring structured learning activities, camping, capacity-building sessions, and co-creation spaces.
The event will offer a Patrol-based international camp experience, including Scouts for SDGs initiatives, community engagement projects, Scouting skills development, cultural exchange, and opportunities to connect with Scouts from across Africa and beyond.
While the celebration is open to all Scouts, partners, and friends of Scouting worldwide, it is recommended that participants from outside South Africa be at least 14 years of age.
The participation fee is USD 70, covering camping fees, meals (for campers), local airport transfers, event materials, and basic first aid support. For non-Campers, a participation fee of USD 35 will apply.
Registration closes on 22nd February 2026.
An information pack is attached to this circular, providing further details on logistics, participation requirements, and key arrangements.
We look forward to welcoming your Scouts and Adult Leaders to South Africa for a memorable Africa Scout Day. We are committed to delivering a safe, inclusive, and exceptional experience for all participants.
Yours in Scouting,
Frederic Kama-Kama
