This year’s theme of the APR Scout Photo Contest is SDG 14 and 15: Life Below Water & Life on Land.
Scouts connect with nature as an inherent part of our duty in creating a better world. National Scout Organizations help with this connection by setting up opportunities for Scouts to take care of our home planet.
We were held back from doing conservation activities during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, but now is a great time to reignite our Scout spirit through adventures while giving back to the planet through the Sustainable Development Goals 14 and 15. It is more important than ever to take care of our terrestrial and marine environments to sustain life.
Along this line, we invite Scouts and Leaders who have captured or are keen to capture in photos the above theme in their events, activities or projects and to share them as entries to the APR Scout Photo Contest 2022.
Submission
All entries must be endorsed by the National Scout Organization and will be judged by a panel of international photographers.
Deadline of submission is on 31 August 2022.
Awards
At the end of the contest, six winners will be announced: One Gold, two Silvers, and three Bronzes. Awards will be presented during the 11th APR Scout Leaders Summit, and the winning entries will be featured in our regional media including the 2023 APR Wall calendar.
