Coastal Fresh Tower Gardens project

This project, initiated by the Philippine Scouts, aimed to improve food security and access to fresh produce for residents in Barangay Suba BasBas. By implementing a sustainable aeroponic system, the project installed five towers, each capable of growing 44 plants, to address the lack of fresh crops in the coastal area. Key activities included conducting community surveys, fundraising, constructing the aeroponic towers, and training local residents to manage the system. The project sought to enhance food production, boost local nutrition, and improve the quality of life for the community through sustainable agricultural practices.

Nepal Flood and Landslide Relief

In September 2024, persistent rainfall in Nepal led to devastating floods and landslides, leaving many communities in desperate need of help. In response, Nepal Scout volunteers, trained in disaster relief work, sprang into action to provide essential humanitarian aid. Working closely with government agencies and local organizations, the Scouts were instrumental in coordinating resources, carrying out search and rescue missions, and rebuilding emergency infrastructure to help restore daily life in the affected areas. Through their efforts, they brought hope and support to those impacted by the disaster, demonstrating the power of community and collaboration during times of crisis.
