Leaders from Scouts of Jamaica participated in an intensive training on Humanitarian Action held from 7 to 9 March  2025 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, as part of a project funded by HA Global.
 
During the three days of training, led by Alfredo Musse, Manager of Membership and Capacity Building at the World Scout Bureau, participants were instructed in the fundamental principles of humanitarian action, the importance of activation plans to improve emergency response, and how to integrate educational activities related to humanitarian action into the youth programme.
 
 
The training addressed crucial topics such as risk reduction, Safe from Harm in humanitarian settings, identification of strategic partners, World Scout initiatives, and the use of dialogue as a tool with migrants, refugees, and displaced persons. Additionally, participants learned about key resources, such as the Scouting in Humanitarian Settings Action Kit, Treehouse, the Learning Zone, and the SDGs Hub, among others.
