The Interamerican Scout Region participated in the Ninth Meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, held from 13 to 16 April at the headquarters of Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago. This Forum is the leading regional platform where governments, the United Nations, civil society, and the private sector come together to review progress on the 2030 Agenda.

Our delegation, composed of Victoria Di Leva and Luciana Baquerizo, regional youth representatives and staff from the Interamerica Support Centre, participated alongside the Association of Guides and Scouts of Chile in the Youth Forum and in a side event on non-formal education, positioning the Scout Movement as an active voice of civil society in conversations on sustainable development across the region.

This participation is part of our regional advocacy strategy and strengthens the path we are building for the Scout Movement to be recognised as a key partner in implementing the SDGs in Latin America and the Caribbean, in line with our 2025–2028 Regional Triennial Plan.
