Circular No. APR-C01-2026
Dear Colleagues,
Warm greetings from the Asia-Pacific Support Centre!
The Asia-Pacific Regional Strategy and Triennial Plan 2025–2028 serves as the strategic framework guiding the development and delivery of Scouting across our Region. Fully aligned with the global Strategy for Scouting, the APR Plan emphasises competency-based education to ensure that Scouting remains relevant and responsive to the evolving needs of young people and their communities.
Within this framework, Innovate Education and Guarantee Safety and Well-being are identified as key Strategic Priorities. These priorities call on National Scout Organizations (NSOs) to strengthen their Youth Programmes through the intentional integration of learning experiences that empower young people to contribute to peaceful, inclusive, and resilient communities.
In line with these priorities, we are pleased to inform you that the Scout Association of Hong Kong will host the:
Asia-Pacific Workshop on Scouts for SDGs: Empowering NSOs through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) on 5–8 September 2026 in Hong Kong.
This four-day in-person workshop is designed to support NSOs in strengthening their Youth Programme through the intentional integration of learning opportunities offered by WOSM initiatives—particularly Scouts for SDGs. The workshop will focus on enabling both young people and adults to advance peace, environmental sustainability, skills for life, and health and well-being, while developing the competencies required to act as responsible and engaged global citizens.
A key feature of the workshop will be dedicated time for NSOs to analyse their current Youth Programmes and develop practical, context-specific action plans for national implementation.
