Dear friends in Scouting,

The Interamerican Scout Committee (ISC) is pleased to share a summary of its virtual meeting held on 22 April 2026, as part of the ongoing work of the 2025–2028 triennium.

During the meeting, the ISC focused on strengthening its internal workings, advancing the formation of its substructures, and following up on key regional processes currently under way.

As part of this work, the Committee made progress in appointing volunteers to its Standing Committees and Working Groups and in defining strategic liaisons for regional events and network-coordinating hubs. This aims to strengthen coordination and support across the region. The ISC extends its gratitude to National Scout Organisations (NSOs) for promoting the call for applications and supporting the endorsement process for volunteers.

The meeting also included updates on major regional events, among them the Regional Conference, JamCam, and the Moot, allowing the Committee to document key learnings and agree on next steps.

This meeting marks a further step in consolidating the ISC's work, with a focus on strengthening regional coordination and providing close support to National Scout Organisations.

For any queries or additional information, the ISC invites NSOs to contact the World Scout Bureau – Interamerica Support Centre or their designated point of contact within the Committee.

The ISC will continue its work in the coming months, following up on these priorities and advancing the implementation of the Regional Triennial Plan. The Committee looks forward with enthusiasm to meeting in person in Panama from 19 to 21 June 2026.

Yours in Scouting,
