WOSM European Agora 2026

Europe Support Centre
The WOSM European Agora 2026 is an event run “for Rovers, by Rovers” that uses the Scout Method to reach the educational objectives for the Rover age section. This event examines important and relevant issues for younger generations today.

Aim and objectives

During the Agora 2026, participants will explore the topic of peace education in various ways:
  • Learning about different cultures and how Rover programmes in Europe address peace education, while sharing experiences from their home country.
  • Realising the impact they, as young people, can have on their society, whether in Scouting or their community, by giving examples of real experiences.
  • Participate in activities that promote youth empowerment and encourage their personal development.

Planning Team

The Planning Team of Agora 2026 is formed by Rovers and is composed of:
  • Eva Founaud Bolea (Spain)
  • Christoph Ablinger (Austria)
  • Jaden Andrea (Italy)

Participants’ profile

The Agora 2026 is open to Rovers (age 16-24 by the time of the event) from the European Scout Region. An interest in peace education is recommended. Participants are not expected to serve in specific roles before or after the event. However, before the event, they are expected to gather knowledge around the Rover programme and Rover peace education programmes/best practices in their NSO/NSA, to be able to share with other participants.

Language

The working language of the Agora 2026 will be English to facilitate all exchanges among participants. Being able to communicate in that language effectively is essential to participating.

Participation Fee

The participation fee is set at 100 EUR. This will cover accommodation, meals, coffee breaks, the programme, and venue facilities.

Thanks to the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe, all participants will be able to benefit from this reduced participation fee, as well as travel support up to 160 EUR.

Registration

Participants are invited to register via Smartsheet by March 4, 2026, at 23:59 CET. All participants must be endorsed by the International Commissioner of their National Scout Organization or National Scout Association (this will be an automatic request from the Smartsheet form).

Please find here the registration link:

Due to the size of the event, we can guarantee one participant per National Scout Association or National Scout Organization only before the registration deadline. Any remaining spots will be divided to ensure the Region's diversity is represented. Therefore, International Commissioners might be asked to shortlist fewer endorsed registrations from their National Scout Organization or National Scout Association after the deadline. If your National Scout Association or National Scout Organization has a preference for the guaranteed participant, please let us know via email as soon as possible.

Following the registration deadline and upon endorsement from the International Commissioner of the National Scout Organization or National Scout Association, confirmed participants will receive a confirmation email and information letter. Please wait until we confirm your participation before booking your travel.

Visa and travel arrangements

Confirmed participants will be responsible for making their travel arrangements. Please do not book your travel until you receive a confirmation email and information letter from the European Scout Region, which will provide more details on the logistics.

Visa costs are the responsibility of the participants; however, the European Scout Region can provide support to obtain visa approval. Please let us know in the event’s online registration form if you need a visa to enter Italy.

Insurance

The European Scout Region of World Scouting does not cover participants' risks during the event or travel to or from the venue. Please note that it is the exclusive responsibility of the participant’s national association to verify that the participant's risks are covered by insurance (illness, accidents, repatriation, etc.).
