Crisis situations can strike unexpectedly during any major event, putting communication teams to the test as they work to manage information, support participants, and protect the reputation of Scouting. International exchanges require adaptability, transparency, and coordination under intense pressure.
In this session, we’re delighted to welcome Aitor Sánchez, Communications Lead for the Federación de Escultismo en España, who served as Communications Lead for the Spanish Contingent at the World Scout Jamboree 2023. Aitor will share how his team navigated complex communication challenges during the event, the lessons learned in managing media and public perception, and how effective internal communication helped support participants and families back home.
