Dear friends in Scouting,

The 2025–2028 Triennial Regional Plan calls on the National Scout Organisations of the Interamerican Region to strengthen collaborative work, technical exchange, peer support and capacity-building processes that enable coordinated progress towards the common priorities of the Scout Movement in the Region.

Within this framework, the Interamerican Regional Networks are technical spaces for collaboration that facilitate the exchange of information, experiences, tools, strategies, good practices and learning that contribute to the delivery of the Regional Plan, the sustainable growth of NSOs and their institutional strengthening.

To update the composition of the Regional Networks for the new working period, we request each National Scout Organisation to designate or confirm its National Representatives to the following networks:

  1. Youth Programme Regional Network.

  2. Adults in Scouting Regional Network.

  3. Organisational Development Regional Network.

  4. Communications Regional Network.

In accordance with the Interamerican Policy on Regional Networks, each NSO must designate one National Representative in each of the Regional Networks. This person must hold a national role, whether volunteer or paid, directly related to the thematic area of the network in which they participate, and their designation must remain in force for at least one year.

It is recommended that the person designated as National Representative be the person who coordinates or has direct responsibility for the corresponding area within the NSO’s national structure, so that they can adequately represent their organisation’s institutional position, assume work commitments, channel technical contributions, and facilitate the national implementation of the agreements, materials and tools developed within the network.

The main functions of National Representatives will be:

  • Maintain regular communication with the Network Coordinating Core and with the other National Representatives.

  • Participate in the network’s meetings, consultation spaces and work processes, whether in person or virtually.

  • Share within their NSO the materials, documents, tools and proposals generated by the network, promoting their analysis and use.

  • Serve as a communication channel between the NSO and the network, transmitting national contributions, comments, experiences, needs and good practices.

  • Contribute, where appropriate, to the development of products, tools, documents or regional initiatives agreed by the network.

  • Support alignment between the regional work of the network and national processes linked to the 2025–2028 Triennial Regional Plan.

Additionally, each NSO may propose the inclusion of others when their experience, technical knowledge, or national role can add value to the regional work. These people may participate in the network’s exchange and collaboration spaces, without replacing the National Representative or assuming such institutional representation, unless this is formally communicated by the NSO.

To update our database and facilitate the reactivation of the networks’ work, we request that the following information be submitted for each network through the form available at this link, no later than 31 July 2026:

  • Full name of the person designated as National Representative.

  • Position or role held within the NSO.

  • Regional Network in which they will participate.

  • Email address.

  • Phone number or WhatsApp, if the NSO considers it appropriate to share it.

  • Indication of whether the designation corresponds to a new representation or to the confirmation of the person currently registered.

  • Name, position, email address and corresponding network of any additional people the NSO wishes to propose, where applicable.

We thank you in advance for your collaboration and remain available for any queries at [email protected].

Always Ready to Serve,
