World Scout Jamboree
The World Scout Jamboree is the largest educational event promoting peace and understanding organised by the Scout Movement, gathering up to 45,000 people from all over the world. The Jamboree includes a wide variety of activities and also places great importance on the everyday life and interaction on campsite.
Participants must be 14-17 years old at the time of the event. Those 18 years and older participate as the International Service Team (IST or volunteer staff).
The World Scout Jamboree takes place every four years with the next event scheduled from 30 July to 8 August 2027 in Gdańsk, Poland.

History of the Jamboree
Scouting’s founder, Robert Baden-Powell, planned to hold a special event to bring together Scouts of all nationalities, and to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the camp on Brownsea Island in the United Kingdom.
Following the World War I, the first international gathering of Scouts was held in 1920. This, the first Jamboree, was held at London’s Olympia for 8,000 Scouts from 34 countries.
"Jamboree" is now an international term used to describe a large gathering of Scouts. Since 1920, World Scout Jamborees have been held almost every four years and hosted all over the world.
