CALL FOR BIDS TO HOST REGIONAL SCOUT EVENTS

Following the decision made by NSOs on the organization and format of future regional events (Circular ASR-AFR-C04-2025), the Regional Office is pleased to announce that the call is now open for bids from National Scout Organizations (NSOs) to host the following events:

 1. Africa Scout Day 2027

2. Africa Scout Day 2028

3. Africa Scout Day 2029

 4. 20th Africa Scout Conference & 11th Africa Scout Youth Forum, 2028

5. 10th Africa Scout Jamboree, 2029 and

6. 3rd Africa Scout Moot, 2030

In compliance with the respective attached guidelines, interested NSOs are encouraged to complete and forward their duly signed bid in the attached Form to [email protected] by 30 June 2025, along with a motivation letter, proposed venue, proposed budget and a confirmation of approval and support by the government through the relevant Ministry.

Also note that, apart from arrangements relative to their specific age groups (14-17 and 18-25, for the jamboree and the moot, respectively), guidelines for hosting an Africa Scout Moot are the same as the ones for the Africa Scout Jamboree (19ASConfDoc5).

Also note that, as part of the bidding process, bidders may be required to cover the cost of a feasibility assessment field visit by the regional team as per the attached regional events technical visit assessment guide (19ASConfDoc6).

All events must comply with the WOSM Events Strategy, Document 8 of the 43rd World Scout Conference, attached here as 19ASConfDoc7.

If you need any further clarification and support with the process, kindly reach out to the Africa Regional Office at [email protected]
