Following circular AFR-C02-2025, which announced regional Scout events to be held in Antananarivo, Madagascar, this is to inform you that during the 19th Africa Scout Conference, four (4) of the eight (8) current Africa Scout Committee elected members will conclude their six-year term which began in 2018.

The outgoing members are John Maina Kiranga (Botswana), Armand Djeigo (Benin), Albert Nyamwana (Burundi) and Ledet Yosef Solomon (Ethiopia). In accordance with ARTICLE VI: Point 1.c of the Constitution of the Africa Scout Region, these outgoing members are not eligible for re-election at this Conference.

To fill the resulting vacancies, nominations are invited from member National Scout Organizations (NSOs) that currently do not have elected members on the Africa Scout Committee, as well as from the NSOs of the outgoing members. Please note that, in accordance with ARTICLE VI: Point 1.b of the Constitution of the Africa Scout Region, not more that one member from a National Scout Organisation may serve in the Africa Scout Committee at any given time.

Therefore, candidates from the following NSOs are not eligible to run for the 2025 elections: The Scout

Association of Nigeria, Association des Scouts du Burkina Faso, Tanzania Scouts Association and Firaisan'ny Skotisma Eto Madagasikara.

To nominate a candidate for the Africa Scout Committee, both the nominating NSO and the nominee must complete the enclosed nomination form and submit it to the World Scout Bureau- Africa Support Centre no later than 31st May 2025.

Only applications submitted within this timeframe will be considered.
