Dear Scout friends,

We are thrilled to invite you to the 8th Interamerican Youth Forum, taking place virtually on August 16 and 17, 2025! This renewed educational space will bring together young people from across the region to connect, learn, and lead.

Held in the spirit of World Youth Day, this Forum is open to all young members of National Scout Organizations, regardless of their role or level. Together, we will explore pressing topics, share our voices, and shape a Final Declaration that reflects the priorities and ideas of youth in the Interamerican Region.

As we work toward a world shaped by youth—central to our Scout Strategy—this Forum empowers young people to step into leadership, strengthen their voice, and take meaningful action.

You’ll have the chance to:
  • Participate in inspiring sessions with expert speakers and youth-led round tables.
  • Design your own learning journey by choosing topics that matter most to you.
  • Build skills to influence decisions—not only in Scouting, but in your wider community.

Objectives

Building a youth-led world”

The Youth Forum offers an opportunity for young people from throughout the Interamerican Region to debate and express their points of view on different issues that impact their lives and those of their communities. The Forum will offer educational and dialogue spaces with experts and their peers.

By preparing inputs and making proposals as a declaration, participants will develop the skills to participate in decision-making processes that they can use in representation spaces.

Participants

This edition of the Interamerican Youth Forum seeks to summon the most remarkable diversity of voices, therefore, taking advantage of what virtual media offers, it will include the participation of:

  1. Young Scouts between 18 and 29 years: Each National Scout Organization has ten (10) places available for young scouts to register through two modalities:

  • Four young scouts who are members of the NSO's national structures: NSOs are encouraged to register young people within the established age range who are part of the youth involvement platforms (youth network, youth advisors, youth representatives, chairs of national scout forums, etc.), government bodies, and national teams. These people must have a letter of endorsement sent through the International Commissioner or the official contacts of the National Scout Organization to be registered.
  • Six young scouts registered as members of the NSO. An open call will be launched to reach more people and hear more voices; thus, any young person registered with an NSO can apply to participate in the Youth Forum. The call will be made through the official media of the Interamerican Scout Region.

NSOs are requested to promote registration among their young members so that they can take advantage of the opportunity to participate in this crucial event and strengthen youth leadership in the region.

  1. Young Non-Scouts between 18 and 29 years: Members of other invited organisations, nominated by partner organizations.

All people will attend with equal participation; therefore, there will be no observers or other similar figures among the participants of the Interamerican Youth Forum.

Date and modality

Held within the framework of World Youth Day, the event will take place on August 16 and 17, 2025, in virtual mode, using our own event platform.
English and Spanish will be the official languages of the Youth Forum.

The registration process will be communicated in a second circular.

We suggest following the 8th Interamerican Youth Forum on @scoutiar social media to stay updated with the latest news and information.

Hoping to have the widest participation of members of the NSOs of the Region in the history of the Interamerican Youth Forum, SAVE THE DATE and do not hesitate to contact us, if necessary, at the emails:  [email protected]; [email protected].

Let’s harness the power of virtual spaces to reach further and grow stronger. Leadership starts at the grassroots, and your voice matters. Join us in this moment to unite, act, and inspire change.
We can't wait to see you there!

Yours in Scouting,
