APR-C08-2024
Dear Colleagues,
Greetings from the Asia-Pacific Support Centre!
The new leadership of Korea Scout Association (KSA) has focused its direction to long-term strategic planning, internal capacity strengthening, and organisational restructuring to address their current challenges in Scouting - as an organisation.
Subsequently, following a thorough review of domestic and international conditions related to preparations for the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree in 2025, the KSA National Board decided to suspend the preparation of the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree.
The Regional Scout Committee, in its recently concluded meeting has accepted the proposal of Korea Scout Association.
In order not to deprive our young people in the Region the opportunity to attend a once-in-a-lifetime experience of attending a Jamboree, we are inviting National Scout Organizations in our region to submit their “Manifestation of Intent” to host the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree still in 2025.
Together with this announcement are the following documents which will serve as your guidance in submitting the intent as follows:
- Guideline in hosting the Asia-Pacific Jamboree, which includes the minimum requirements for programme and other important elements; and
- Safe from Harm Guidelines for World and Regional Scout Events
Interested National Scout Organizations may submit their “Manifestation of Intent” to Mr. Syd Castillo, Director of Educational Methods via [email protected] not later than 07 June 2024 1700h (GMT+8) to the Asia-Pacific Support Centre.
Looking forward to your response.
Yours in Scouting,
