Visibility and Donor Recognition Guidelines for MoP funding
For all projects financially supported under the Messengers of Peace Fund through the World Scouting–World Scout Foundation partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Purpose
To ensure consistent visibility, communication, and recognition of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s contribution to the Messengers of Peace Fund, and to highlight its role as a key supporter of global Scouting.
These requirements apply to all projects and grantees funded through the MoP Fund and are part of the evaluation and compliance criteria under the Media and Documentation and Highlighting the Role of the Kingdom categories.
These are contractual requirements. Non-fulfilment of the requirements can result in non-payment of subsequent grant payments and/or not being eligible for future grant applications.
Core requirements
- Visibility and branding
- The Messengers of Peace (MoP) identity must be prominently featured where relevant. Visibility must be proportionate to the donor’s contribution and consistent across platforms.
- Logos and acknowledgements on all materials: Relevant project-related items (e.g. brochures, flyers, reports, websites, uniforms, banners, press releases, social media) must include the World Scouting and partner logos, along with a simple credit line such as “Supported by World Scouting and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”. Avoid wording that implies endorsement, such as “official sponsor”.
- All communication and visibility materials (print, digital, audiovisual) must include the official logos shown below:
- Use official files: Always use the high-quality, official logo files provided. No stretching, recolouring, or alterations. Follow guidance in World Scouting’s Brand Centre for the correct sizing, colours, and placement.
-
Events and presentations: Include logos on event branding (e.g. banners, signage, slides, certificates) and give verbal recognition during opening or closing remarks.
- Communicating on a project’s impact
- Each project must develop a media and publication plan to document and share the project’s impact, achievements, and visibility of the Kingdom’s role.
-
Minimum requirements:
- At least one article, press release, or blog post highlighting the project’s results and donor recognition.
- High-quality photos and videos from project activities, clearly displaying donor recognition (e.g., banners, t-shirts, backdrops).
- Social media visibility on national or regional Scout channels with appropriate tags and acknowledgements.
- Recognition at events and activities
- Where relevant and possible, at least one representative from Saudi Scouts or the Saudi diplomatic mission should be invited to attend or virtually join a national or regional event funded by the grant.
-
Project beneficiaries and leaders should be aware that support was made possible through the Kingdom’s partnership with World Scouting.
- Digital presence
- Projects are encouraged to maintain an online record or platform (website, microsite, or page on scout.org) documenting their progress and highlighting Saudi support.
- All materials shared online must comply with WOSM visual identity guidelines and acknowledge donor contribution - see requirements above.
Verification and compliance
- Visibility and donor recognition are mandatory reporting components under the MoP Fund.
- Verification will be based on:
- Submitted media evidence (photos, links, and reports).
- Inclusion of donor logos and messaging in communication materials.
- Invitations or mentions of Saudi representatives in event documentation.
- Projects without clear recognition mechanisms may receive reduced visibility scores (below 5) in evaluation and risk non-compliance. This includes non-payment of subsequent grant payments and/or not being eligible for future grants.
