This open call for funding aims to support youth-led initiatives to address membership development and growth initiatives at the grassroots level.
Eligible initiatives include, but are not limited to:
recruiting new members
re-engaging inactive members
supporting the transition between age sections to avoid dropouts
developing new Scout Groups
expanding Scouting into/reaching out to underrepresented communities
developing the capacity of young leaders and volunteers to recruit, welcome, engage and retain members
👥 Who can apply? NSOs/NSAs from the European Scout Region or Local Scout groups of NSOs/NSAs from the European Scout Region, in good standing with WOSM, with endorsement from their International Commissioner
💰 How much money can you receive? You can apply for a grant up to 7,000 USD. Grant disbursement is subject to receipt of funds from the donor
📅 Deadline: Please submit your project proposals by 30 September 2026
📩 Selection date: Decisions on selected projects will be communicated by 9 October 2026

During this session, we will share more information about Project Momentum and the Growth Laboratories funding opportunity, including the full project calendar, upcoming events and benefits for participating NSOs/NSAs.
This funding opportunity is part of the Momentum - Membership and Resilience Accelerator in the European Scout Region project, implemented with the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with World Scouting, under the Messengers of Peace fund. Grant disbursement is subject to receipt of funds from the donor. Projects should not commence implementation before November 2026.
