GLB-C18-2023
On 9 May 2023, the World Scout Committee recommended through Circular GLB-C07-2023 that the Scoutisme Congolais, as the National Scout Organization (NSO) of Congo, be accepted as a Member Organization of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) with voting rights.
By the deadline of 23:59 GMT on 8 August 2023, this recommendation was not opposed by any Member Organization.
Therefore, as of 9 August 2023, Scoutisme Congolais is declared the 174th Member Organization of WOSM in accordance with Article VI.2 of the Constitution of WOSM.
On behalf of the World Scout Committee and all Scouts worldwide, I hereby congratulate the NSO of Congo for achieving this important milestone.
We wish Scoutisme Congolais all the best in the further expansion of Scouting in Congo as they continue to enable more young people to become active citizens who are making an impact in their communities.
