Invitation for Member Organizations to propose Constitutional Amendments and Draft Resolutions for the 43rd World Scout Conference and submit nominations to the Resolutions Committee

Following the approval of the Rules of Procedure (RoP) for the 43rd World Scout Conference, we would like to inform Member Organizations of several important milestones in the event’s institutional timeline.

  1. Invitation to propose Constitutional Amendments and Draft Resolutions

Member Organizations are now invited to propose Constitutional Amendments and Draft Resolutions for the consideration of the Conference.

  • The deadline for Member Organizations to submit Constitutional Amendments and other proposals requiring a two-thirds majority (RoP Rule 6.b) is 23:59 UTC on 17 February 2024 (RoP Rule 6.1.b).

  • The World Scout Committee will circulate its Draft Resolutions by 17 April 2024, allowing Member Organizations to take them into consideration before submitting their own proposals.

  • The deadline for Member Organizations to submit Draft Resolutions is 23:59 UTC on 17 May 2024 (RoP Rule 6.1.c).

  1. Open call for nominations of members to the Resolutions Committee

The World Scout Committee is now opening the process for Member Organizations to nominate candidates to the Resolutions Committee of the Conference. Resolutions Committee members must be endorsed by their Member Organization, be part of the Member Organization’s Conference delegation as a delegate or observer, and meet the skills and experience requirements outlined in the role description of the Resolutions Committee.

  • The deadline to submit the nomination(s) of an individual(s) to the Resolutions Committee is 23:59 UTC on 17 February 2024 (RoP Rule 3.e).
