The purpose of the annual Africa Scout Day is to celebrate the Scout Movement’s contribution to the development of Africa (its young people, adults, and communities). Each NSOs is usually encouraged to in-country celebratory activities during the Africa Scout Week while the main celebrations are be organized by the region and hosted in a particular country with participation from NSOs and partners in the region and beyond.
Event: Africa Scout Day Celebrations
Dates: 13 – 17 March 2024 (including arrivals and departures). Africa Scout Week will run from 11 – 17 March 2024.
Venue: Bujumbura, Burundi
The event is being organized by the Africa Scout Region and will be hosted by Association des Scouts du Burundi with support from the Government of Burundi and other local and international partners of Scouting.
More information including the theme, branding, participation, registration fees and other requirements will be shared in due course. Meanwhile, we encourage you to start preparing your contingents and mobilizing participants and International Service Team members to attend these key regional events.
