Regional workshop on the use of technology in the Youth Programme
Dear brothers and sisters in Scouting:
On our regional calendar, the Regional Workshop on the use of Technology in the Youth Programme is scheduled for 17-18 June. This workshop aims to identify and share good practices that National Scout Organizations and the World Organization of the Scout Movement are implementing in using technology to manage and deliver the Youth Programme.
One of the main products to be presented at the workshop is the regional platform for knowledge management in the Youth Programme. This platform seeks to make resources available on Youth Programme and related topics, receive contributions and interact with young people, adult scout leaders, and Youth Programme teams to construct knowledge, materials, and tools.
This platform will be integrated with Treehouse (https://treehouse.scout.org/dashboard), the World Scouting online community. We are moving forward with this process and expect the work to take another three months. This situation forces us to postpone the workshop until the integration of the platforms has been done correctly. You will be informed of the date when the workshop will be held in future communication.
